Before You Return

Before You Return To Zion Hill

We are implementing the following practices:

• We recommend that all individuals who are 65 and older or who have underlying at-risk health conditions stay home and watch services online

  • Members and guests do not enter if you or someone you have been in contact with is symptomatic or if you or they have tested positive for COVID-19
  • Please put on mask before entering the building
  • We are ensuring 6 feet between individuals or family units of the same households by tapping off every other pew during services
  • Please stop and use hand sanitizer before entering the sanctuary and exiting the building. We have placed hand sanitizers in high-contact locations (e.g., bathroom, entry, exit), and hand washing is the most preferred method.
  • We may randomly perform temperature checks
  • We are implementing a no-contact greeting. You may not shake hands, hug, or engage in any other embrace that keeps you from social distancing. You may not gather in the sanctuary, foyer, or parking lots. Ushers will dismiss rows or sections at a time and members may use any of the doors to exit the building in a way that supports social distancing

• We will not hand out Bibles or envelopes. Envelopes will be available at the hand-sanitizing stations.

• We have Established a safe protocol for communion to avoid contact

  • You may continue to use the church’s website for your giving to avoid contact
  • Only small ensemble groups will provide music for the services, and the choir loft will be modified to adhere to social distancing requirements.
  • Microphones and stands will be sanitized and disinfected after each use.
  • We will Clean between each service and regularly disinfect high-contact surfaces
  • Once the service has been dismissed and you have exited the building, you may not reenter.
  • Children 2 years and younger are not required to wear mask.
